While Europe is fighting with heroes, Brussels is preparing its AI war.

While extreme heat is testing the limits of energy supply across the continent, the European Union will take two key steps in the field of artificial intelligence within a few days. Brussels would mobilize more than 30 billion euros to create seven AI super-companies, and from Sunday, it will have significant enforcement and sanctioning powers against developers of the world’s most powerful models. Hungary will also participate in the technological race, and as a participant in the Polish-led consortium, it will gain access to significant computing capacity. However, only time will tell whether the EU can effectively develop or haphazardly enter the technological race that will shape the future.
