The European Union has received another 1.4 billion euros in funding from the proceeds of frozen Russian bank assets, which will be used to support Ukraine. With this latest transfer, the total amount has increased to 8 billion euros. 95 percent of the funds will be channeled to Ukraine through the Ukraine Support Fund, while 5 percent will be used to meet Ukraine’s military and defense needs within the framework of the European Peace Fund.
