Tisza government: the new asset recovery super authority has been launched, and the parliament has passed a number of important laws.
Based on the National Assembly’s decision on Tuesday, the National Asset Recovery and Protection Office will become an independent institution with broad powers, which will deal with the search and recovery of illegally acquired public assets. This step is one of the key measures taken by the Tisza government to fulfill its anti-corruption commitments to the European Union. In addition, the deputies voted on two sets of laws related to the use of EU funds.
The National Asset Recovery and Protection Office will be able to take action against illegally obtained public assets and their recovery, according to a decision made by the National Assembly on Tuesday. This independent institution, established as part of the Tisza government’s commitment to combating corruption towards the European Union, also voted on two legislative packages related to the use of EU funds.
