Tisza-government: the economy is performing surprisingly poorly, Magyar Péter meets with Markus Söder.

Hungary’s economic performance in the second quarter was weaker than expected: GDP grew by 0.4% compared to the previous quarter, which is below the 0.7% expansion analysts were expecting. In the morning, Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar and Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder held a joint press conference, where they discussed the details of the meeting, which marked a resumption of Hungarian-Bavarian relations after many years. Due to the extreme heat and the historically low water level of the Danube, at 121 centimeters, the MVM Paks Nuclear Power Plant reduced the performance of its 2nd block by 50%. Due to the heat, the Ministry of Transport will also partially lift the truck ban over the weekend: heavy vehicles will be able to travel on domestic roads again on Saturday night and Sunday morning.
