The Romanian government is planning to make an emergency decision to divert one of the Danube’s branches to the Cernavoda nuclear power plant, operating with four lanes. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan held an emergency session of the government on Friday due to the energy crisis, as one of the plant’s blocks had already been shut down, and concerns had arisen about the future of the other reactor. It is planned to declare a state of emergency in Constanța and Călărași counties.
