The Greek energy giant is entering the Hungarian market, launching with a major acquisition.
The Greek PPC Group is entering the Hungarian energy market: its subsidiary, which deals with renewable energy, has agreed to purchase a 57.5 megawatt solar power plant in southern Hungary from Greenvolt Group, and has also obtained an option to acquire the 49 megawatt battery storage project, which is currently under development. The transaction is the first step in the Greek group’s 24 billion euro investment program for 2026-2030.
