The forint started the week at around 364 for each euro, while the forint-dollar exchange rate fell to 315.7 forints. The Japanese yen experienced a significant strengthening following a joint intervention by the Japanese Ministry of Finance with the United States. This move and the easing of tensions between Iran and the United States put pressure on the dollar, leading to a six-month high for the euro. Investors are also paying attention to the US-Iran negotiations and the US labor market report, which could influence the Fed’s interest rate policy.

The forint is expected to strengthen, important data has arrived from the United States.

The forint opened the week at around 364 against the euro, while the forint-dollar exchange rate fell to 315.7 last week from the 319 level. The Japanese yen, meanwhile, strengthened after the Japanese Ministry of Finance confirmed that it had conducted a joint yen purchase with the United States. The coordinated intervention, along with news of the easing of the Iran-American conflict, also put pressure on the dollar, leading to a record high against the euro. Investors’ attention this week will also be focused on the American labor market report, in addition to the American-Iranian negotiations, which could also influence the Fed’s further monetary policy.
