The Chinese offensive is accelerating: they are targeting the European automotive industry, where the impact will be greatest.
Following the launch of its first car just two years ago, Xiaomi aims to compete with major European premium manufacturers, such as BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche, on the German market starting in 2027. Xpeng, Li Auto, and Aito will also be joining the competition. While the first Chinese automakers gained market share with low prices and rapid growth, the next wave will focus on the most profitable segments of the premium segment.

Barely two years after launching its first car, Xiaomi aims to compete with the largest European premium manufacturers in its home market. The Chinese technology giant will begin sales in Germany in 2027, and it will not be alone: the Aito, supported by Xpeng, Li Auto and Huawei, is already waiting. The first Chinese wave focused on lower prices and rapidly increasing sales, but the next one will target the most lucrative markets of BMW, Mercedes and Porsche.
