The required electricity was more than half produced abroad, despite the significant solar power capacity available in Hungary. In addition, due to the shutdown of the only Hungarian nuclear power plant, we were unable to export, and the system was constantly dependent on imports throughout the day.

Furthermore, due to the shutdown of the only Hungarian nuclear power plant, even with large solar power capacity, there is not a single minute of the day when the domestic system produces electricity for export - meaning that we need to import electricity every minute of the day.
