Saunas and pools are being turned off one after another – extraordinary energy saving in domestic hotels and spas
Hotels and spas have implemented energy-saving measures due to the domestic energy situation. The Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants Association has recommended a 4-point package of measures for hotels. In addition, 50 spas and resorts have indicated that they are reducing their energy consumption. Ironically, due to the extreme heat, the number of visitors has increased, especially in spas, while they are saving energy.
Hotels and spas have implemented significant energy-saving and adaptation measures in response to the local electricity and water situation. The Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association has proposed a 4-point package of measures for hotels. Members of the Hungarian Spa Association, including 50 spas and resorts, have indicated that they will reduce their energy consumption. The situation is strange, as the intense heat has recently brought a surge in visitors, at least for spas.
