Kármán András announced that the MNB supervisory board has recalled two members.
The minister announced that the government will tighten control over the operations of the Hungarian National Bank while maintaining the independence of the central bank. Two representatives of the ministry were recalled from the supervisory board of the MNB, and a bill is being prepared to reduce the salaries of members. Furthermore, they intend to expand the scope of control to include the central bank’s foundations and subsidiaries. The minister discussed this at a parliamentary session.
