Energy crisis: record heat, slightly higher Danube, drying streams and ongoing energy and water conservation nationwide

A positive development is that Hungary will receive the guaranteed Danube water volume guaranteed in international agreements, while Slovakia is prepared to release some additional water. Today is also record-hot, but the good news is that the Danube water level has almost 10 centimeters exceeded Sunday’s low point and one block of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant is operating – Magyar Péter announced. Also positive is that our country is receiving the guaranteed Danube water quantities guaranteed in international agreements, and in addition, Slovakia is ready to allow some of the additional water from the expected rainfall to alleviate the low water level – this was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Orban Anita, on her social media page.
