Energy crisis: companies have been completely reorganized, and everyone is scrambling to figure things out.

The current situation is completely new for everyone, and there is no previous experience to draw upon, so everyone is trying to figure out how to optimize their operations, said Sinkó Ottó, CEO of Videoton Holding Zrt., which is making multi-step voluntary energy consumption reduction commitments. He believes that in the current situation, the installation of storage systems should be actively supported, and the permitting processes should be expedited, but the state should also play a larger role in supporting the adoption of new technologies, possibly through the use of EU funds. He believes that in this completely new situation, it would be very important to establish proper practices for sharing experience and creating platforms that enable this, because this is an extraordinary situation in which companies are not competing with each other, but rather, the solution is in everyone’s interest.
