Drought in Hungary has caused irreversible damage: a disappointing map has been published

In the first half of the week, sunny and extremely hot weather is expected, which will last for about a week. Heavy rains have occurred in the past, but due to the small amount of rainfall, the crops are starting to dry out prematurely due to heat and water stress. The heat is also negatively affecting natural vegetation, indicating that the lack of rain will worsen the situation, according to a HungaroMet analysis.

Drought in Hungary has caused irreversible damage: a disappointing map has been published

The first half of the week was marked by sunny, dry, and extremely hot weather, which is expected to last for about a week. Although there had been little rainfall in the previous period, there were occasional heavy downpours, and the high temperatures did not exacerbate the effects of the drought. However, due to the current heat and water stress, crops are continuing to dry out prematurely, and the natural vegetation is also suffering from the heat.
