According to the official announcement, a new railway stop will help reduce road traffic in Debrecen.
A new railway station is being built on the outskirts of Debrecen, at the end of Kassai út, as part of the renovation of the 100th railway line. The development will allow those arriving from Nyíregyháza and Mátészalka to directly transfer to local buses and trolleys, making it easier to reach the university campus, Csapó Street, and Nagyerdő without having to travel to the main station. Zsolt Tárkányi also confirmed this news on Facebook.

A new railway stop is being built on the northern outskirts of Debrecen, at the end of Kassai út, as part of the renovation of the 100 railway line between Debrecen and Nyíregyháza. Thanks to this investment, those arriving from Nyíregyháza and Mátészalka will be able to directly transfer to local buses and trolleybuses, allowing them to quickly reach the university campuses on Kassai út, Csapó Street, or Nagyerdő, without having to travel to the Debrecen main station. This was announced by Zsolt Tárkányi, parliamentary state secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Investment, in a Facebook post.
