Mexico’s pension system has made significant progress in the past decade, but the task is not yet complete, according to Pablo Antolin, an OECD expert on pension issues, who spoke at the FIAP-WPA international seminar in San Jose. Antolin emphasized that the system must continue to adapt to changes in the labor market and technology in order to remain sustainable for future retirees, and that the global changes affect all pension systems.

Although Mexico has made significant progress in reforming its pension system over the past decade, the task is far from over, according to a FIAP-WPA international seminar held in San José. Pablo Antolín, head of insurance and pensions at the OECD, explained that the system must continuously adapt to the rapid changes in the labor market and technology in order to remain viable for future retirees. The expert pointed out that the current global transformations will lead to similar outcomes for retirement systems around the world.
