A 25 percent salary increase may come at the HUN-REN research network.
Significant salary increases are expected at research institutions within the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network, while negotiations are underway regarding the restructuring of the organization. The research centers will receive an additional monthly salary in addition to the previously received monthly salary, the amount of which will be decided by the directors. This represents an additional increase of up to 25% after the previous 30% increase.

Further significant salary increases are expected within the HUN-REN Research Network institutions, while negotiations on the restructuring of the organization are already underway. The research centers will receive an additional two months’ salary on top of the monthly salary received in February, the amount of which will be determined by the institutions’ directors. This means that, after the average 30 percent increase at the network level last year, salaries could increase by another 25 percent in 2026.
